What to Report

Employees or others should report concerns regarding possible fraud, waste, mismanagement, corruption, or any other abuse of governmental resources that harms the public interest. This includes, but is not limited to, information or concerns regarding business relationships with the state, including financial interests, contracts, or purchases, and licenses or permits requiring the exercise of judgment or discretion by a state agency. It also includes any evidence of or concern regarding retaliation against whistleblowers.

Employees should not report, and the OIG cannot investigate complaints from employees that relate to their employment relationship with a state agency, unless the complaint is directly related to fraud, waste, mismanagement, corruption, or any other abuse of governmental resources that harms the public interest.
